Student ID

Universities and colleges that use Felles studentsystem (FS) can offer their students a digital student ID.

Students at universities and colleges that use Felles studentsystem (FS) as their student information system can use the student ID app to confirm that they are a student and have paid the semester fee to those who offer services and discounts to students. This applies, for example, to student welfare organizations, libraries, public transportation companies, insurance companies, and other commercial entities.

For the student ID to be valid, the student must have an active enrollment, have paid the semester fee, and have registered at the educational organisation. If the app does not display a photo of the student, other valid identification must be presented along with the app, but the student ID is still valid given the criteria above.

The student ID app ensures secure transfer of personal information, reduces the need for paper, and therefore also unnecessary waiting time for students.

All universities and colleges that use Felles studentsystem (FS) can offer the student ID app to their students.

In the middle of the page, there will be a green box with the text "Valid student ID," the current semester + year (e.g., Fall 2024), and the expiration date (e.g., 31.01.2025).

Below the green box, there is a button with the text "Verify" that animates the "Valid student ID" box.

Data is stored on the phone so that the ID can be displayed even without an internet connection. The data is updated by swiping down the screen or every time the app is opened. If there is no internet access, the app will use the locally stored data. At the bottom of the app, there is a "Last updated:" line that shows the date and time of the last time fresh data was retrieved.

When logging out, stored data is removed, so internet access is necessary when logging in. If a student ID is expired, this will be displayed on the phone.
