Search in NVA
Everyone can search in NVA without logging in.
There are three ways to search in NVA: simple search, filter search, and advanced search. Simple search can be combined with filter search for more precise searches.
The search page is the first page you land on when you go to nva.sikt.no. If you're on another page in the system, you can return to the search page by clicking either the NVA logo or the magnifying glass in the top menu bar.
Simple Search
Simple search is the search field at the top of the search page, and the type selector to the left of the search field. Press the arrow in the type selector to choose whether you want to search for results, people, or projects.
Filter Search
Filter search is for those who wish to explore what is available in NVA.
You start with an overview of everything that is registered, and then choose one or more subsets that you wish to narrow your search down to in the various filters on the left side.
You can, e.g., limit your search to results related to a specific institution or type of result, or to only results that have an uploaded file.
Advanced Search
Advanced search is for those who know what they are looking for.
You can add all relevant criteria at once, thus defining a targeted search for exactly the information you are interested in.
For example, you can search for parts of a title in a result with a specific contributor or search for results related to a specific funder and the funder's grant ID, or you can search for results with addressing to a subunit at an institution.
Export Search Results
The list of matches in both filter search and advanced search can be exported to Excel.
