The Norwegian Research Information Repository (NVA)
The Norwegian Research Information Repository (NVA) collects publications and other research results, and makes them openly available in a common national solution. This makes results from Norwegian research available in a single service.
NVA makes it easier to register, share, and reuse research results. With a single service, duplicate work is avoided and better overview and quality of the data are ensured.
The service links together functionality and content from the former CRIS system (Cristin), where information about ongoing research was registered, with the actual research output, which was previously made available in institutional repositories at each individual institution.
The introduction of a national research repository is intended to help realise the government’s goal that all Norwegian scholarly articles funded by public money should be openly available.
